Two of my favourite foodies in the Sunday Mail today. Not Gary and Manu who we dined with at Emporium on Friday night. Expensive dinner. Word in the Sunday Mail that they command $25/30 g's an appearance. I'm getting on the pots and pans.
No I'm talking Kristina Georges and Sodith Aoude. Kristina, the Greek fishmonger's daughter who runs Sammie's Girl with main man Harry, and Sodith the ex French... teacher from Lebanon who runs Rouj at Rosalie.
I think I must have come from the Mediterranean in another life. I love these women. Kristina has resurrected a business from the ashes and given so much to so many along the way. A beautiful Greek soul.
Sodith from the "hole in the wall" No No's at Red Hill originally to Rouj today, has introduced so many of us to the delights of Lebanese food. I can be full of great Lebanese food and still get asked.."You want schweets?". Love Gary and Manu, top blokes, but check out Kristina and Sodith in todays Sunday Mail, love 'em more.
